Tarek El Moussa, a real estate agent, is the host of Flip or Flop, an American reality TV series that revolves around real estate business. He hosts the show alongside his hot ex-wife, Christina El Moussa.

Tarek El Moussa was born on 21st August 1981 in Long Beach, California. He has a sister named Angelique. His religion has often been confused with being a Muslim because it is known that people with a surname of "El Moussa" are often from Egypt. He follows Christianity and so does his family.

Tarek had received his real estate license at a young age of 21. Before he joined Flip or Flop, he previously appeared in hosting duties on a show for HGTV.
Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa were into the business of selling real estate in Southern California. Unfortunately, due to the 2008 global economic crisis, their business went down.
Tarek, who used to live with a lifestyle of around $6000 per month only on rent, had to reduce his lifestyle level to $700 per month due to a severe effect of the economy back down.

In 2011, Tarek, with the help of his friend, made an audition tape for HGTV. In the video, the entire process of house flipping was recorded. In 2012, the TV channel confirmed the couple to host a weekly program where they would buy a house – renovate it – and sell it again in and around California.

Tarek had flipped three houses in 2008, four in 2009 and after working at Flip or Flop; in 2014 he was able to flip 80 houses. At present, they have their real estate agent named the El Moussa Group located in Orange County, California.
With the huge success of Flip or Flop, there followed two spin-offs to the real estate reality show. The first one named Flip or Flop: Follow Up, aired in July 2015, where old houses are revisited, renovated and flipped.
Another show, Flip or Flop: Selling Summer aired in August 2016. This show focuses more on backyards and pools. Moreover, Tarek is the owner of Next Level Property Investments LLC since January 2008 until the present time.

The pair, along with their partner, Pete, made their first investment in a house in Santa Ana for $115,000. The trio made a profit of $34,000 with just their first renovated home.
In 2013, it was revealed that the couple receives an additional sum of $10,000 per episode. This amount of money was separate from the profits they earn through house flipping. Both the couple’s overall net worth is estimated to be around $4 million.

Both Tarek and his wife Christina have been announced as the brand ambassadors for Trend Group – the parent company for Granite Transformations.
Recently, during the end of August, Tarek and his wife teamed up with Redfin, a real estate company and their training organization, Success Path Education to give away $5000 cash prize along with design advice to one lucky winner among those who made an entry at Redfin website.
Other than Flip or Flop, Tarek and his 33-year-old wife Christina also host training sessions in the name of Success Path Education. The seminar is basically focused on teaching strategies for real estate development.
They have also helped students all over the country to find and flip houses. As announced in January 2016, Tarek and his wife of 7 years Christina are writing a book called Flip your Life.
Tarek Moussa Personal Life
Tarek El Moussa married his longtime girlfriend Christina El Moussa in 2009. The then-couple met when his now-wife had just completed her college and joined the real estate business.
The duo has two children together, a daughter named Taylor and a son named Brayden. The family lives in Yorba Linda, California. Tarek is a family person and devotes as much time as possible in taking care of his two children.

Apart from family, his interests are in golfing, traveling and have immense love for his work along with his wife.
Tarek Moussa Cancer Diagnosis
In 2013, while watching the show Flip or Flop a registered nurse named Ryan Reade, spotted a lump in Tarek’s neck area – she immediately sent an email to the team of Flip and Flop.
Later, it was revealed that Tarek’s cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. Previously, Tarek and his ex-wife have revealed their real-life story and also it has been known that he had been battling thyroid cancer.
Tarek and Christina also met with the nurse who saved the actor’s life on the famous show The Doctors in 2015.
After the diagnosis, Tarek had to go through intensive surgery to have the cancer cells removed. Moreover, he had to go through radioactive iodine therapy – which is a common treatment for such types of cancer.
Other stars such as Sofia Vergara and Brooke Burke-Charvet had also fought the disease.
