UFC publicly declared they paid George $400,000 for his fight against Jake Shields at UFC 129 in Toronto. He further added:
I couldn't be happier with the result. It is also estimated around US$25.99 was collected from the George’s edition representing martial artist T-shirt which was said to be themed as a symbol of fight against bullying and help youth participation in sports. The roof of light is also launching George’s new beanies and all these merchandise will surely add up to his current net worth.

GSP made his UFC return after almost four years at UFC 217 (Bisping vs. St-Pierre) on 4th November 2017, in the main event against one of the most dominant Middle Weight champions Michael Bisping at Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of 18,201 attendants with a record-breaking Gate of around $6.2 Million byes.
