Jeezy and Jeannie tied the knot on March 27, 2021. They wed at their Atlanta home surrounded by their loved ones. The couple had originally envisioned a larger celebration, but had to adjust their plans, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The rapper's then-wife, shared with Vogue that the passing of his mother, Sandra Rose made them realize the importance of cherishing every moment in life. So, they decided to go ahead with their wedding.

The Separation

Jeezy filed for divorce from Jenkins in Atlanta on September 14, 2023. The news came as a shock to her. She revealed during an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" that she was unaware of his decision to file for divorce. 

The separation between the "Leave You Alone" rapper and Jeannie stemmed from differences in their family values and expectations, according to reports from ET. It appears that they were not aligned on certain fundamental aspects of their relationship. This disconnect may have contributed to the strain in their marriage.

When Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie, he also requested joint custody of Monaco. It indicates his desire to remain an active and involved parent in her life. 

Past Engagement To Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin

The "Way Too Gone" rapper was previously engaged to musician Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin. They got engaged in December 2016 but unfortunately parted ways in 2019. 

Not much is known about the details of Jeezy and Mahlet's engagement. Things like how they met or the reasons behind their breakup are unknown. They share a daughter named Amra Nor Jenkins, who was born in February 2014.
