On December 9, 2012, the singer passed away after the plane she was traveling in crashed near Monterrey, Mexico. The news of Jenni's demise devasted the whole world.
As per reports, the aircraft she was traveling, Jearjet 25, lost contact with the tower just 15 minutes of takeoff and its wreckage was found near Iturbide, Nuevo Leon. All six passengers (4 people and 2 crew members) on board were found dead on the crash spot.
Her body was carried back to her hometown of Long Island and on 31st December 2012, Rivera was buried at the All Souls Cemetry.
