Like every time ABC’s American Idol returns Sunday with the final seven contestant which competition is getting tough step by step to win the grand prize.
On Sunday’s episode 16: Top 7 American Idol celebrates late singer Prince Songs with the all competitors each performing a song from his album. In addition, each contestant sang a song from the birth year.
American Singing Competition TV series had the right to use the entire catalog of Prince Records as a first in any singing show to do it. In 2006, Fox Season 5 final the Raspberry Beret singer had made an appearance and it’s the same year when Taylor Hicks won.
To coach, the remaining contenders step Nick Jonas in the stage to be the mentor of the week to help the team step their game up.
After the result, two contestant Catie Turner and Jurnee were sent home based on the audience vote, ahead of the finale- just 2 weeks to arrive. It was really hard for the two runners to left the show reaching such height.
Following the result Turner tweet an emotional message.

The show host Ryan Seacrest revealed that this time the vote was tight. The remaining 5 contestants will fly to Nashville on May 13, 2018, to be coached by former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.
