Matt Damon Proud of #Metoo movement but will like to Shut His Mouth for a While

Good Will Hunting actor Matt Damon’s latest movie, Downsizing, shows the commitment to save the planet and which should probably include voice against sexual misconduct and the recent announcement from the actor saying he would like to shut his mouth for a while from #MeToo movement looks confusing. So, let's deal with it in detail.

Damon back in December, in an interview with ABC News’ Peter Travers, said

“There’s a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right? Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicate without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated, right?”

On Tuesday, a repentant Damon told Kathie Lee Gifford on Today's show

“Boy, I really wish I’d listened a lot more before I weighed in on this, a lot of those women are my dear friends and I love them and respect them and support what they’re doing and want to be a part of that change and want to go along for the ride, but I should get in the back seat and close my mouth for a while.”

We really like Matt who is also a father of a beautiful daughter correcting his statement but yes he corrected his statement and for someone like Damond, with that star power, he surely should think about the consequences of his actions and speak accordingly.
