Megyn Kelly has disappointed NBC after she canceled her plans to travel to South Korea for covering Olympics. The current action from Megyn Kelly has brought a lot of questions in. People are disappointed and so is NBC for paying her a hefty $17 million.
NBC reportedly paid around $1 billion to broadcast the 2018 summer Olympics but it will miss one most valuable anchors from the peacock network. “Today” and “Nightly News” will broadcast live from Pyeongchang but according to Fox News, Megyn who makes around $23 million a year, will not join her fellow stars in South Korea but will report the Olympics from its usual studio in New York at Today @ 9 a.m. ET.
NBC News' Chairman Andy Lack and deputy Chairman, Noah Oppenheim, have dropped Kelly off from Olympics. It's Lack who is reportedly not happy with Kelly's performance and payment he receives from the network and later, after several bloopers and failers TV critics have called her a miscast for NBC.
She tried being funny/ being sarcastic (as usual) but people seem to not like her as they liked Matt Leure who was recently fired by NBC after Katie Couric alleged him with several sexual harassment related cases and replaced by Hoda Kotb.
