Kaitlyn Dawn Bristowe was born on 19th June 1985 in Leduc, Alberta, Canada to Lesli Hipkin and Mike Bristowe. She is 36 years old as of 2022.

The TV host went and graduated from Leduc Composite High School. After that, Bristowe moved to Vancouver, British Columbia for a dance scholarship and eventually became a spin-class instructor. 

She first gained recognition as a contestant on Chris Soules' season of The Bachelor. Kaitlyn placed in third place after losing to runner-up Becca Tilley and Whitney Bischoff who won the season. 

Bristowe then appeared as the lead on season 11 of The Bachelorettes winning against fellow contestant Britt Nilsson earning more votes during a vote out. She chose contestant Shawn Booth as the winner who later proposed to her in the season finale.
