Floyd's Views On Marriage

Mayweather has shared his thoughts on marriage. Through social media, he mentioned that he doesn't have any plans to get married. The divorce rate is very high, and that's one of the reasons why he hasn't tied the knot.

Floyd emphasizes that he trusts himself the most and prefers to rely on his judgment to avoid disappointment. He also holds no ill feelings towards those who choose to get married.

Has Never Been Engaged

Floyd has clarified that he has never been engaged or married, despite rumors circulating on the internet. Some stories falsely claimed that he was previously engaged to individuals like Shantel Jackson and Josie Harris.

However, Pretty Boy debunked these rumors when news of his supposed engagement to Anna Monroe emerged. In a now-deleted Instagram post, he made it clear that these claims were untrue, stating, "I'm not engaged and have never been engaged or married, those are just rumors and lies."

Previous Relationships

Anna Monroe

Mayweather and Anna Monroe crossed paths for the first time at his Las Vegas club, Girl Collection. The club is one of his businesses, and she works there as a dancer.

Originally from Britain, Monroe held the position of the "lead" dancer at the strip club. Their initial meeting at the club likely sparked a connection between them.

Cheating On Anna With His Ex-Girlfriend

Floyd was spotted with his ex-girlfriend, Gallienne Nabila, in New York City. At the same time his then girlfriend, Anna, was back in Las Vegas. This sighting reportedly left her feeling devastated, according to sources cited in The Sun

Anna has confided in her friends, claiming that Floyd attempted to reconcile. He tried that by sending her a substantial sum of $5 Million. Additionally, he allegedly offered to purchase her a yacht and take her on a luxurious trip. Despite these gestures, she was not pleased and it led to their breakup.

Shantel Jackson

Shantel Jackson is a well-known ex-girlfriend of Mayweather. The two first crossed paths when she was working as a hostess at an event in Atlanta back in 2006.

The boxer and Shantel were together, on and off, for a significant period of eight years. Things didn't end on good terms between them and there are many reasons for it.

Was Floyd Abusive Towards Shantel?

According to court documents filed by Shantel, the boxer exhibited controlling behavior in their relationship. When she expressed a desire to leave, his behavior allegedly escalated. He once, allegedly, threatened her with a gun.

It's reported that Mayweather forcibly bent Jackson's arm and pointed the weapon at her toes. Following this incident, he purportedly confined her inside their home for several days before she managed to escape to California.

Jackson underwent an abortion in January 2014. Mayweather has claimed that he ended things between them because she terminated the pregnancy of their twin babies. These details paint a troubling picture of their relationship.

Josie Harris

The Late Josie Harris was one of Mayweather's earliest partners. Their relationship began when she was just 17 years old, sometime in the 1990s.

Throughout their relationship, Harris gave birth to three of the boxer's four children: two sons named Koraun and Zion, as well as a daughter named Jirah.

The Troubled Relationship

Harris shed light on the darker aspects of her relationship with Mayweather. She alleged that domestic violence played a significant role. She bravely spoke out, revealing that he had subjected her to physical assaults on multiple occasions, with at least six incidents occurring throughout their time together.

The most harrowing of these episodes reportedly took place in 2010. Floyd allegedly broke into Josie's home and assaulted her in the presence of their children.

Harris filed a $20 million lawsuit against Mayweather in 2015 for defamation. Their legal battle was slated to take place in December 2020. But tragically, she passed away. Her untimely death happened on March 10, 2020, at the age of 40. It resulted from an accidental drug overdose, as reported in USA Today.
