With John Mulaney welcoming a baby boy alongside Olivia Munn, and a decade-long marriage between him and Anna Marie Tendler ending, the internet is caught in a frenzy. On January 6th, 2022, it was announced that John and his ex-wife Annie had officially signed their divorce papers.

When Did John Mulaney & Anna Marie Marry?
Stand-up comedian Mulaney and makeup artist Anna first met each other during a trip to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Their love blossomed and they confirmed their relationship with the public in 2012.
Similarly, they adopted a pet dog named Petunia together and shared their adventures as a couple to the world!
In one of Anna’s signs in 2010, she predicted that "John is the man I am going to marry". Her prediction came true in 2014 when the love birds said ‘I DO’ to each other!
The former couple exchanged their marital vows on 5th July 2014 amidst family and friends at the Onteora Mountain House in Boiceville, New York.
Fun Fact: The wedding was officiated by one of their friends, comedian Dan Levy.
They 'Loved' Each Other Very Much
The SNL writer and the Pin It!’s author were a great pair, or at least we were made to think so. Mulaney would mention her several times during his SNL hostings and Tendler would always support her man in every way she could.

She even mentioned this experience as ‘the most rewarding’ moment in her entire career.
Following years, John also continued showing his love for his wife and even made numerous references to his wife and her fiery attitude in his 2018 Netflix show "Kid Gorgeous at Radio City."
How could anyone deny saying they weren't the ‘perfect’ couple when they dressed up as Romeo and Juliet during 2019 Halloween? We definitely couldn’t! Addition to the dress-up, John also wrote in one of his posts referring to their matching outfits,

Jumping to May 2020, Anna made appearances in John’s podcast where they talked about the close connection they had while working on the productions. We speculate things changed when John went to rehab for alcohol and cocaine addiction for 60 days in December 2020.
John Ended Up In Rehabilitation
In prior interviews, the comedian had spoken candidly about his struggles with alcohol, cocaine, and prescription drugs from the ages of 13 to 23. He reportedly got sober back in 2005 but due to Covid-19 and mental stress, he relapsed again in 2020.
Mulaney reportedly went for a 60-day rehabilitation for the addiction and got out in February 2021.
During his treatment, Olivia Munn appeared on the social media scene and showed her support for John out of nowhere writing,
"Sending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this."
Splitting Of The Couple After A Decade Long Marriage
Shortly after the 'John and Olivia' news began circulating all over the internet, on 10th May of 2021, John filed for a divorce with Anna and moved in together with Munn right away. They were even spotted together several times after.
He talked about his relationship in ‘Late Night’ interview with Seth Meyers and said:
"I got into this relationship that's been really beautiful ... She's kind of held my hand through that hell,” referring to Olivia.
The divorce was officially finalized on January 6th, 2022. And while the divorce news was still giving mini heart attacks to the people, the arrival of John and Olivia's child around the same time was even more shocking to the internet.
What Did Tendler Say About The Divorce?
While Mulaney’s representative mentioned that the comedian would focus on his “recovery” and wouldn’t speak about the divorce, Tendler finally spoke up about her ex-new husband's relationship and baby during an interview with Harper's Bazaar on January 11, 2022.
The makeup artist said: “Everything that has transpired has been totally shocking and I think surreal," she mentioned. “In a way, I feel like things can only get better from here, because I've gone as far as I can."
Furthermore, while still together, the former couple was frequently questioned about their parenting intentions after their wedding, but Mulaney at that time revealed that he had no desire for a baby. But having a child with Olivia as soon as they got together was possibly saddening to Annamarie.
