Eve Babitz, a visual artist and author is famous for her semi-fictionalized memoirs. She passed away on December 17, 2021. She was 78 years old. She died from Huntington's disease at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Ron recalled picking Eve up in his old Ford Station Wagon in the interview. Despite their decision to end their romantic involvement, their friendship endured. 

Interestingly, Babitz even took on the role of matchmaker. She attempted to set Ron up with the renowned singer Linda Ronstadt. However, his interest in this matchmaking endeavor was lukewarm at best.
