Marina Oswald Porter, 74 is the wife of Lee Harvey Oswald, assassin of John F. Kennedy. Marina has lived a very troubled life following the aftermath of JFK Assassination. Gripped by fear and facing accusations from those who believe she also had a part in conspiring the JFK assassination, Marina has lived in Rockwall, Texas, since the mid-Seventies with her second husband and three children.

Born in Severodvinsk as Marina Nikoloyevna Prusakova, young Marina moved to her uncle’s place at Minsk in 1957 to study pharmacy. She met Lee Harvey Oswald, a former U.S marine defected to Soviet Union at the time at a dance on March 17, 1961. After a month of being together, Lee and Marina got married in April 30, 1961. They conceived their first child, June Lee on February 15, 1962. The Harvey Oswald family immigrated to the United States and settled in Dallas, Texas in June of the same year.

In April 1963, Porter and her daughter moved in with Ruth Paine, a Quaker and Russian language student they had met at a party. Lee Oswald rented a separate room in Dallas and lived there visiting Marina and her children only on weekends. On October 20, Porter gave birth to a second daughter, Audrey Marina Rachel Oswald.

Porter learned of the assassination of Kennedy from the media coverage of the event, and later, of the arrest of her husband. That afternoon, Dallas Police Department detectives arrived at the Paine household, and when asked if Lee owned a rifle, she gestured to the garage, where Lee Oswald stored his rifle rolled up in a blanket; no rifle was found. She was subsequently questioned both at the Paine household, and later at Dallas Police Department headquarters in relation to her husband's involvement in the assassination of the president, and the shooting of Dallas police officer J. D. Tippit. She was widowed on November 24, when her husband was shot by Jack Ruby.

For years, the widow of Lee Harvey Oswald has avoided cameras while she tries to live a quiet life in Rockwall, northeast of Dallas. Marina and Lee Oswald had two children, Rachel and June. After her husband was killed, Marina married Kenneth Porter. She worked at an Army Navy Surplus Store in uptown. Eventually, she retired. She's now in her early 70s. Marina's daughter, June Oswald, spoke with NBC in 1993 about her family. "For 25 years, it was a subject we didn't talk much around the house," June Oswald said. "Mom would try to keep us sheltered." In 1995, Texas Monthly interviewed Marina's other daughter, Rachel Oswald. In high school, when she was on the cheerleading squad, some people in the stands would shout: "Your daddy shot Kennedy" and "Good thing your daddy's dead and buried." But, mostly, she said, things were "pretty normal."

Many books and movies have been made based on Marina Oswald’s life and the JFK assassination; Killing Kennedy, Fatal Deception: Mrs. Lee Harvey Oswald, 11/22/63 among many others. The book “Killing Kennedy” claims among other things, that Marina “is reluctant to smile because of her bad teeth”. Marina Oswald’s net worth has not been revealed as of today.
