Nothing much in particular about the courtship of Troy and Bradley is on the records, but the two reportedly began dating in the early 1990s. At that time, the late Sublime vocalist was on his tour, when he fell for Dendekker.
And by October 1994, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together. Following 7 months, they became parents to son Jakob James Nowell, born on June 25, 1995.

Unfortunate Love Story! Husband Died Only After A Week Of Wedding
The marital perks didn't last long for Troy Dendekker. It was on May 18, 1996, when she and Bradley married in a Hawaiian-themed ceremony in Las Vegas.
Just a week after, her husband was set for a Northern California tour with his band Sublime- they stayed at Ocean View Motel in San Francisco (Seascape Inn now). But on May 25 morning, his bandmate Bud found him lying unconscious on the floor next to his bed & immediately called the paramedics.
However, Bradley Nowell was pronounced dead at the scene- reportedly had passed away several hours earlier due to a heroin overdose.

The singer was cremated and his ashes were spread over his favorite surfing spot in Surfside, California. And in his memory, a headstone was placed at Westminster Memorial in Westminster, California.
At the time of death, Bradley was only 28, while his widow Troy Dendekker was 26.
A posthumous album Sublime was released on July 30, 1996, which became a hit- the reports of 2010 stated that it was more than 6 million sales.
Reportedly, Bradley's dog Lou (a Dalmatian), who was even the mascot for their band, died on September 17, 2001, and his ashes were scattered in the same spot as Nowell's.
Second Marriage And Divorce
Six years after the death of her former husband, Dendekker found love again and married for the second time. She and Kiki Holmes got married on 1st November 2002 and welcomed three children named Mary Jane, Erica Angel, and Rudi.
On their 15th wedding anniversary, Holmes shared a sweet video clip featuring their wedding photos. Unfortunately, the parents of three-part ways & got divorced on 25th July 2018.
