Jaleel White and Bridget Hardy
Jaleel White and Bridget Hardy are married after dating for few years. The couple seems happy with each other but sometimes things knock the door without an invitation.
Well, the couple got divorced and settled the custody of their only child, Samaya in 2010. Reports suggest that the couple wasn't married, instead of being just boyfriend and girlfriend. Anyhow, Hardy filed a domestic violence suit against her ex-husband/boyfriend but White denied ever raising a hand to her, saying she was doing it just for the money. White currently has sole custody of his daughter.
White likes to maintain a very private life and there is not much to read about the former couple. But we are somewhat aware of what he did with his career.
More about Jaleel White
While we still recognize him as Steve Urkel 26 years after Family Matters, the actor has since moved on to other roles, albeit smaller ones. And it's not just us. Many still know him as the clumsy guy with the popular catchphrase, "Did I do that?" And let's face it, you don't just go from being the king of the nerds to being a grown-up (Grown Ups 1999-2000) and expect an easy transition. After Family Matters, the actor moved on to other shows, including Grown Ups and Total Blackout, which he hosted. White even competed in the dance reality show Dancing With The Stars.
White graduated from UCLA in 2001, four years after Family Matters ended and moved forward with his acting career. Talking about his career with HuffPost Live, White said that he has somehow managed to avoid being recognized just for being Urkel.
He said,
“Everything is generational. If I’m on an airplane, or something like that, all the flight attendants, they just want to talk to me about Dancing With the Stars."
“I just had somebody the other day, their kids came up to me, they wanted to take a picture, they were like, ‘look, it’s Mr. Todd’ from Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”
And he has been playing different roles since his Urkel days. White recently guest starred in an episode each of police procedural shows, Hawaii five-0, and Castle. In the Hawaii five-0 episode, Pauly Shore and Kevin Farley starred alongside White. When news about the trio appearing on an episode hit the media, executive producer Peter Lenkov told Variety, “For years we’ve been talking about doing the quintessential spring break episode, a ‘Hawaii Five-0’ version of ‘The Hangover.'"
In Castle, White played a sketch comedy star who stars in an SNL parody of sorts. He is seven suspected to be the killer at one point. The episode also featured pop star Carly Rae Jepsen as herself.
