In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Davina McCall revealed how giving up sugar has changed her life. The 47 year old English TV Presenter who still looks fit and absolutely stunning at this age has found a new way of staying fit and healthy. She has maintained her sexy figure ever since she quit sugar. She took the story of her well-toned body to the next level after she published her famous cookbook, Davina's 5 Weeks to Sugar-Free: Yummy, easy recipes to help you kick sugar and feel amazing.
McCall once told, “Men love that I am an old lady with a young body.”
But we don’t think so. She is still young and beautiful like any other young girl. Sometimes age does not matter. And someone like McCall, who has the knack to stay fit can remain young for a longtime. A fitness queen can never get old, can she?
Davina McCall recently posted a video and several pictures of herself on Instagram, enjoying her holiday in the Azores Islands on Saturday. She was seen showcasing her skills in a swimming pool. The Big Brother host and the ultimate fitness diva was taking a break from UK in the Portuguese islands. She mesmerized her fans and followers with snaps of herself doing an impressive backwards dive into the swimming pool.
The mother of three could be seen in the slow-motion video flexing her flat belly prior diving into the pool with powerful backward dive. She flies through the air as she lands in the water. Her toned abs and legs were quite useful during the move.
Now, this famous TV presenter enjoys a successful career as the host of Channel 4's The Million Pound Drop Live, Five Minutes to a Fortune and The Jump, Sky1's Got to Dance, as well as ITV's Long Lost Family and Stepping Out. But her life before the television success was not as peaceful as it is now.
She has been through a roller coaster of trouble and personal mess. In her early 20s McCall developed a very serious problem of drug addiction. Her then boyfriend and an old family friend Eric Clapton helped her overcome her problems and sobered her up. Only after coming out of the drugs use, she gained her own television show on MTV. Success and fame soon followed as she headed towards the right path. She also quit smoking when she as 24.
Moreover, McCall's mother died in 2008 and her maternal half-sister Caroline Baday died of lung cancer in 2012 aged 50, adding more grief in her life. But she didn’t back down. It is her strength, courage and patience that brought her on this stage.
McCall is happily married to husband Matthew Robertson, presenter of Pet Rescue and has three adorable children. This is her second marriage with Robertson. She was married to Andrew Leggett in 1997 but it did not last very long. They separated in 1999.
Despite all the shortcomings, McCall has proved herself as one of the most talented and successful TV personality of all time. She has 2.4 million followers on Twitter and we do have to accept that she indeed has a beautiful body and mind.
