The prince of Hip Hop will be brought to life all over again though the biopic “All Eyez on Me” .Tupac Shakur the most loved hip hop artist of all time will be seen on the screen after a long time. Tupac has already several times been voted into the most inspirational rapper and though provoking ahead of Eminem.
The movie has been found out through polls to be even more highly anticipated than last year’s “Straight Outta Compton” movie. The film was supposed to release almost ten years back but the project had been shelved time and again.
According to Global Grind, the cast wrapped up the final scenes in Las Vegas earlier this week. Producer LT Hutton shared a few videos of Demetrius Shipp Jr., who portrays the late rapper, riding around with Dominic L. Santana (Suge Knight) on Instagram. The rapper was shot on the Vegas strip following his attendance to a Mike Tyson fight on Sept. 7, 1996.
Actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. has been cast as Tupac and Dominic L. Santana is going to be portraying Suge Knight. The cast members were all selected through thorough rounds of auditions and the cast itself is known to have taken more time than it needed.
The movie did not take too long to complete and it is being claimed that the filming came under wraps in just a few months way ahead of the projected time of ¾th of a year. The last scenes of the movie were also ironically shot nearby places as the last moments of the legendary rapper.
The movie is supposedly based not only on the famous beefs that Tupac had in his career which hypothetically led to his death. But has been made in a wholly different perspective on the outlook of what his fans actually want to see.
The movie is said to highlight Tupac’s early days and his foundational move to rapping. It is also said to highlight not only his rise in the hip hop industry but also in Hollywood as an actor. Director Benny Boom also promised fans that they will definitely be seeing Tupac’s relation with his mother and also to the Black Panther party.
Rumors say that the movie may focus on Tupac and his mother Afeni a lot as many believed her to be a direct inspiration for the rapper and many of his most famous raps. Danai Gurira is set to portray Tupac’s mother and early reports have suggested she has displayed outstanding acting skills and ability ion the much awaited biopic.
The controversy surrounds the rapper's murder still is a highly debated topic as no arrest have been made as of yet. The killers are still out in the open and there have been no leads or suspects too.
The actors portraying respective characters have filled their instagram accounts with pictures from the sets and Demetrius looks exactly like Tupac. The movie is set to release in early September in the US and in the following days by the end of the month it would have premiered all over the world.
Hip Hop fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for the movie and they hope it can match the high standards left by last year’s Oscar nominated movie “Straight Outta Compton”.
