Tricia Janine Hefler, 41 is a Canadian model and actress best known for playing the humanoid Cylon No. Six in Donald D. Moore’s Emmy winning re-work “Battlestar Galactica”. Earlier this year, rumors of Tricia as a to-be-mother were going roundabout in the media, however, the actress has not spoken a single word or confirmed anything about the ongoing rumor. Hefler started her career as a fashion model at the tender age of 17 after being discovered by a modeling agency scout at a movie theatre.
“I was 17 and still at school at the time, and my parents were naturally concerned about a man coming up to me and promising to make me a model. But he was open and professional with them from the start. I think it was less than a week from being spotted in the queue to being in New York starting my modeling career.” recalls Hefler.
She then went on to win Ford Model’s Supermodel of the World contest. She was later signed by Elite Model Management eventually signing up with Trump Model Management. She appeared in various ad campaigns for high-end designers namely Ralph Lauren, Versace, Chanel & Giorgio Armani. Helfer has appeared on the covers of Flare, Amica, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and Vogue, among others. She also regularly appeared in photo shoots by Maxim magazine, was the magazine's wall calendar girl for 2005, and was ranked #57 on Maxim's Hot 100 Women of 2007.
In 2002, she retired from fashion modeling and relocated to L. A to pursue full-time acting in movies. Her first acting breakthrough was playing Sarah on the TV series “Jeremiah”. She received critical acclaims and is still remembered for her role as a humanoid Cylon No. 6.
Apart from this, Hefler is also known for doing her own stunts;
“I always prefer to be hands-on with the stunts. I think it’s because I’m a real tomboy at heart. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to scrap, so I genuinely look forward to my punching and kicking scenes, even when it hurts me,” expressed Hefler in an interview with DailyMail UK.
She met her husband Jonathan Marshall, a lawyer at a mutual friend’s birthday party and has been married to Marshall for 13 glorious years now. The couple however have not had any children despite being together for a very long time.
Hefler’s last project was in the series finale of Falling Skies as the Espheni Queen, the leader of the alien race that had invaded Earth and devastated humanity in 2015. Her inactivity in the showbiz further acts as a catalyst to the rumor of her pregnancy. Since she’s stayed out of work for quite a while now, it’s likely to think that Hefler’s getting more into career than family at this point.
As of February 2016, the lissome lass has an estimated net worth of $4 million.
