But after a month, he returned for Liverpool’s Premier League which was against West Bromwich Albion and Stock City. Joe played with pain and again he suffered an early knock to the ankle in the drew with Stoke.

9. Sergio Romero

A Spanish professional football player, Sergio Romero who has been Argentina's No 1 goalkeeper, has been ruled out of the World Cup 2018 after injuring his knee. Well, the injury occurred during his tanning in Buenos Aires. And, it a loss for Argentina’s national team.

8. Mauro Icardi

The 25-year-old, Mauro Icardi is not chosen to be a part of Argentina and it’s obvious that would not be on the plane to Russia. He was not selected for the World cup because he has just played 4 matches for the Argentine national team and is least concerned with build-up play.

7. Radja Nainggolan

A Belgian professional football player, Radja Nainggolan announced his retirement from the international game in 2018. He did so when Robert Martinez (Belgium coach) left the AS Roma midfielder, Radja out of his squad for the World Cup in Russia.

6. Dani Alves

Daniel Alves da Silva aka Dani Alves will miss the World Cup 2018. The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed, “impossible to call Dani Alves for the period of preparation, friendlies and, consequently, the World Cup.” Dani’s right knee injury in the French Cup finals will not be recovered in the time to represent the Selecao in World Cup 2018.

5. David Luiz

One of the most passionate Brazilian football player in the world today, David Luiz will miss the FIFA World Cup. As his lengthy injury kept him away from the Chelsea squad. Not only, he also was not a regular in the Chelsea team because of his poor form as well as his injuries. It was said he is back in tanning but he is not fully recovered enough for this season.
