Stand-up Comedian Ralphie May Died at the age of 45

Ralph Duren May professionally known as Ralphie May was an American actor and stand-up comedian. Besides his incredible comedy skills, he also broke the held the record of House of Pizza for around ten years by eating 27 slices of pepperoni pizza in 30 minutes.

Sadly, stand-up comedian Ralphie May is no longer with us. May died at the age of 45 on October 6, 2017.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee Ralphie May grabbed the second place on "Last Comic Standing" back in the year 2003. He successfully made his appearances in the comedy shows like The Wayne Brady Show, Unruly, Imperfectly Yours, Girth of a Nation and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

May released his comedy album "Just Correct" back in 2005 and won millions of hearts. Sadly, now the large and loud comedian is no longer with us. Ralphie May died at the age of 45 on Friday, 6 October 2017 in Las Vegas, in residence at Harrah's casino.

Judie Brown, the office of May's manager, confirmed the news. He was battling pneumonia for around six weeks and died of cardiac arrest. Though he was battling pneumonia, he still kept performing his scheduled gigs in Las Vegas.

His manager said:

As his manager and his friend, I will miss his laugh, his generosity to fellow comedians, his trademark orneriness, and his enormous love of life. He left us entirely too soon -- and we can only wonder where his comedy might have taken all of us. We send our love to his family, his fans, and all the comics who shared stages with him across the country.

Several stars like Larry The Cable Guy, Chris Rock, Jay Mohr, Bob Saget, Gabriel Iglesias, Christopher Titus, Kevin Smith, Marc Maron, Ken Jeong, Dane Cook, Shaun Latham, Nate Bargatze, Damon Wayans Yunior shared their memories of the late stand-up comedian on social medias like Twitter and Instagram.

Ralphie May and Lahna Turner divorced in 2015 and has two children, daughter April June May and son August James May.
