Shannon Bream talks about her personal life.

Shannon Bream received her college degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg. When she was in college she was in need of a scholarship to fund her education. "While I was there I had a hairdresser who ran a local pageant (Miss Amherst Pageant) and said, you really should do this. It was a whirlwind. I never competed as a kid. No Toddlers and Tiaras in my family, but within six months I had won the local pageant and Miss Virginia. Miss America paid for my junior and senior years in college."

My parents like to say that the piano lessons all paid off since it paid for my junior and senior year of college. It took my breath away.” Beam recalls.

Shannon Bream headed back to Tallahassee, Florida for law school and then someone suggested she enter the Miss USA pageant, a different system from Miss America. "I ended up competing and became Miss Florida. And it paid for law school."

Bream earned a Juris Doctorate with honors from Florida State University, College of Law. In the years following, she practiced employment and labor law, mainly sexual harassment cases in Tampa, Florida.

Loss of interest in law led her to a career change in 2000. She got an entry-level job writing scripts on the overnight shift at ABC news affiliate in Tampa WFTS-TV. “It was love, at first sight, being in the newsroom,” recalls Bream. “I immediately felt this is where I was meant to be all along.”

In 2001 she moved to CBS affiliate WBTV, after three years in 2004 she joined NBC affiliate WRC-TV in D.C. While at WRC she met Brit Hume, who was managing editor of the Fox News Washington bureau at the time. With his encouragement, she submitted audition tapes.

Within weeks, Bream was at the FOX News Channel. “It was probably one of the easiest things to commit to signing the contract and coming here. I just felt like it lined up in every way. I wanted to cover politics and, with my legal background, I was thrilled to cover the Supreme Court, campaigns, and Capitol Hill.”

Shannon who joined Fox News channel in November 2007 is still working for the same channel and quite enjoys her job. She also finds herself lucky to be in a job she loves.

Talking about love, Shannon is living a happily married life with Sheldon Bream. Shannon met her love of life in Virginia, both of them graduated from Liberty University. The couple does not have any children.

Sheldon is the type of husband every woman dreams of having. Shannon says, “My husband is a saint, and you can write that.” Sheldon is a loving person. He is very supportive and protective when it comes to family.

Shannon has an estimated net worth of $4 million including her salary.
