Sergey Lazarev represented Russia with 'You are the only one" at the finale of Eurovision 2016.

Despite being ranked third, Russia did a pretty good job at this years’ Eurovision. The Eurovision 2016 certainly did have its sweet and sour moment. Ukraine certainly deserved that win and Russia were not so far behind.

Russian singer and actor Sergey Lazarev represented his country with the song ‘You are the Only one’ at the finale, but it did not save them.

The stage was set great in Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday evening. Although everyone performed their hearts out, some performances were especially grandeur. Sergey’s song was one of them indeed.

Moreover, it was even more surprising that he was not booed in the stage. The Russians draconian anti-gay law and revelation of the singer’s past porn-pictures did not stop them from ruling the stage.

Nevertheless, the Russian supporters blame the cause of their loss to that fact, but that is highly unlikely as the Ukrainian and Australian were great on their accords reigning first and second respectively.

Ukraine's Jamala won the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with her track ‘1944’ and brought home the awards.
