Seinfeld star, Brenda Strong, who tied the knot with her husband John Farmanesh-Bocca last year might be 55 years of age already, but this blonde beauty has not lost her charm and her fitness, all thanks to yoga.

This 55 year old actress, who is happily married to her director and actor better half, is a yoga instructor and fertility expert. And this has helped the lady maintain her already slim, sexy and fit body even in her mid-fifties. How cool is that?

Well, Strong has come up with a yoga DVD called “Yoga 4 Fertility”, which would help solve issues of fertility via yoga and fitness tips. The certified yoga instructor and fertility expert has experience teaching at UCLA's Mind/Body Institute. She is also working on a book about yoga and the woman's journey. She shared her valuable yoga tips regarding fertility and also revealed how yoga has been helping her gain that fit body.

The Desperate Housewives actress herself suffered and battled infertility. This very bitter experience of her own made her strong enough to work for millions of women all around the world who undergo the similar fate. This is the reason why Strong developed her yoga curriculum, Strong Yoga4Fertiliy. The curriculum features several poses that help nourish the reproductive organs, calm the nervous system, relax the mind and body, and help boost fertility.

“One of the wonderful benefits of yoga is it teaches you to respect your journey,” Strong said referring to the ordeal of infertility that several woman face.  “It requires that you approach everything as a process.”

The actress openly stated which yoga was suitable and ideal for fertility.

According to the diva, yoga for fertility helps to improve blood flow and circulation to the low back (sacral plexus), hips, groins, and pelvis, eventually leading to healthier gynecological function. She further added: “As the body relaxes, the mind calms. Focused breathing aids the nervous system and helps lower stress hormones like cortisol, which can impede reproductive hormone function.”

The Emmy Award nominated actress also explained how this type of yoga help sooth mind and body both.
“Learning to listen to the body’s natural rhythms through yoga and breathing can bring a deep sense of peace and connection to our own innate healing capacity.

“A strong yoga practice can help women and couples feel more empowered on their journey toward conception.”
Yoga poses like Reclining Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana), Double Pigeon Pose (Dwi Pada Rajakapotasana), Reclining Half Pigeon (Thread the Needle), Cobbler’s Pose (Baddha Konasana), Seated Angle Pose (Upavistha Konasana), Legs Up the Wall Pose (Viparita Karani) help increase circulation to the reproductive organs, balance hormones and reduce stress ultimately leading to healthier and fertile reproductive system.

The actress also openly admitted that the secret behind her sensually fit body is yoga itself. Being a yoga instructor, it is not hard for this hot fitness queen with the height of 6 feet to maintain her beautiful figure and perfect body measurements.
