Sean Lamont signs one year deal with Glasgow warriors.

The 35-year-old experienced Scotland winger Sean Lamont has signed a new one-year deal with Glasgow Warriors. Capped 104 times for Scotland, Lamont left Glasgow in 2005 before he returned in 2012 and has scored 27 tries over his two spells at the Guinness Pro12 champions as a part of the Warriors.  He made his 98th Warriors appearance as a second-half replacement in Saturday’s 14-7 loss at Connacht.

On being back with the Warriors, he said,

"I feel I've still got more to give and I'm enjoying being part of a winning team. I want to keep on playing and I'm glad I get to extend my time at a club which I really enjoy representing. I’m delighted to sign for another year at the Warriors.”

The Warriors’ coach Gregor Townsend had some great words to say about the sportsman,

“Sean is a great role model of how to look after yourself physically and play at a consistently high level throughout a season. He’s always said he’d like to keep on playing which is great, as the desire to keep improving and enthusiasm to play the game are vital components of performing well. He’s shown that his motivation levels are just as high as ever and his rugby ability is clear for all to see.”
