The Captain of the Spain national team Iker Casillas secretly married the beautiful sports reporter Sara Carbeno in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid. Their wedding was held on 20th March 2016. Although both of them had been in a relationship since 2009, not much about their love life had been revealed until Casillas kissed Sara in a post-match interview after their Victorious match against the Dutch in 2010 World Cup final.
Imagine! How cool is it? Having won the greatest sports tournament in the world and getting interviewed by the girl you love. Casillas is one lucky guy. Everyone was shocked when this former Real Madrid goalkeeper kissed his bride to be. Both of them were finding it rather difficult to control their emotion. The moment was sweet and emotional at the same time. Check out the video below:
They married recently without many audiences. In fact, only two members were present as witnesses as per the law beside their son Martin who was born on 2014. One of the known witnesses is Sara’s sister while the name of another one has not been revealed. It seems they wanted to keep their marriage a secret until summer. However, it has become viral and even featured on the cover page of the Spanish Edition of the magazine Hello (iHola).
Now, both of them are often spotted together, hand in hand with their son or without him, getting a time off from all the work, trying to spend few moment, enjoying. Well, you can’t be a famous person and walk around without your few pictures being taken on the process, can you?
Since they are well off in their relationship, they did not bother to make their wedding a big deal. It was only as a formality that they decided to tie their knot that had already been there, just giving the feeling of more intimacy may be!
They have been together for over six years now and we hope that they will remain together. Similarly, it seems they are expecting their second child in June. Now 35-years of age and slowly reaching his retirement, his net worth of $40 million might be enough to make their family life a happy one and satisfied at that.

When Casillas was awarded Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sports Merit by the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in 2015 Casillas did not forget to thank his then future wife and his son.
'I'm not sure I deserve it, but I'm filled with happiness. I dedicate this decoration to the people who have helped me over the course of my career, but in particular Sara, and my son Martin.'
