In the game, Westbrook had 35 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists and the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Spurs 95-91 and took a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. On the other hand, rival team’s Kawhi Leonard had 26 points in the loss on a night where the Spurs offense was inefficient!

The Thunder overcame seven first-quarter turnovers to take a 22-16 lead after poor shooting from the Spurs, who hit only 7-of-22 from the floor in the first. The Spurs settled in the second quarter courtesy of Leonard, who put up 15 in the quarter as the Spurs took a 48-43 lead into the break.

Westbrook ended it with a bucket and a foul with 6.3 seconds left — the Thunder pulled off the shocker.

Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunders’ forward commented on Russell’s performance with ESPN,

"We got stops, and Russ was a maniac tonight, keeping us in it,"

The Oklahoma City Thunder will have a chance of closure out in Game 6 in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
