Rose McIver talks about the third season of iZombie.

“I think now that our show is going into the third season, there’s room to shake the structure a little bit and play outside the box. But there are certainly great things about it being a procedural as a device for her being able to eat those brains each week, and for it to hang on these very specific story hooks can be fantastic, too.”

McIver told the statement to Comic Book Resources.

iZombie is a crime/horror TV series which was first showed on the CW on March 17, 2015. The story follows the story of a zombie.

On January 10, The CW president Mark Pedowitz publicized the renewal of the zombie drama 3rd season on a panel at the 2016 Television Critics Association winter press.

Pedowitz stated via Variety-

"I think [show developers] Rob Thomas and Diana Ruggiero have done a terrific job. I think it's stronger this year. I think Malcolm [Goodwin], Rose [McIver] and Rahul [Kohli] have done a great job in terms of what they're going for ... Look, I think the show has a very good shot at third season and I'm really proud of that show."

On April 12, McIver wrote on her Twitter:

Thank you SO much for tuning in. Tell your pals! We want everyone caught up n on board the #iZombie train for SEASON 3! Love you #brainies.

McIver considers the season three to be a greater experience for the character than their usual set-up.

She generalized-

“I think it could kind of go either way at the moment, and I feel like story-wise and character dynamic-wise, relationship-wise, there’s really, really interesting stuff coming to play with”

McIver supposes the brain that she would eat would taste better in this season. The brains that she ate in previous seasons was the most terrible thing that she ever ate, a stew made of gelatin.

McIver assumes that season three will let the characters explore their singing talent.

iZombie 3 is scheduled for the 2016-2017 roster of The CW.
