Why does actress Brooke Burke-Charvet wants to keep her children's social media time in check?

We live in an age of social media’s dominance where the likes on our social media matters more than our achievements in real life. Like most of us, Brooke Charvet also doesn’t want her children to be heavily affected by the social media.

“I don’t want my children to grow up naive,” that’s what Brooke feels about her kids, and this is the reason why the Poise spokeswoman often intervenes in her children’s social media activity. The doting mom makes sure that the children don’t spend all of their time on social media.

"I want them to be innocent, but not naive, so we talk about everything and I’m so lucky that we have that relationship. I want to have that close relationship, not a friendship. I think that’s dangerous with parenting, but closeness is super important.” Charvet talks with US Weekly.

Apart from limiting their social media involvement, Charvet makes sure that she has mandatory talks with her children about issues like bullying as well.

“I think it’s really important for them to know what they would do in certain situations and to role-play that,” she explains. After all, it’s just that she wants her kids to ensure that they have a good family time.

"I kind of make the kids take a little tech break too from time to time because life is a picture right now in this generation. We’re so disconnected and socially connected. Everything is a picture and it’s not even a real picture. It’s like a filtered image of what really just happened.”
