Why did Brooklyn Decker walk away from the fashion industry?

No matter how shiny and glittery the modeling world is, not everyone is happy being a part of it. And who better an example than the model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker. The leggy blonde has always been the star in whatever she does and wherever she goes!

Decker started out as a model when she was just 14 after being scouted by an agent at a shopping mall. She was indeed a very successful model and landed many precious modeling assignments. She is best known for being the cover girl for Sports Illustrated, not only once but numerous times! Despite being the favorite of many, the actress was never happy with modeling.

She talked about how she was reduced to just an image on a page with CNBC. The former model emphasizes on how social media has provided a platform for models now to have their own voice which she did not have when she was in the industry.

The 29-year-old beauty fondly talks about being the cover girl for Sports Illustrated,

"At the time, Sports Illustrated was the only magazine that published your name, your hometown that had a biography about you. They wanted the girls to have personality and that personality to come out, whereas most publications at the time just wanted the model to wear the clothes and take pictures and that was it."

Further on, she talks about how leaving modeling for her was the best thing ever,

"That was one of the things that I was most proud of, is having a piece of humble pie and staying the course."

Brooklyn Decker is now an admired actress and has worked in movies like Just Go With It, Battleship, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and more. She currently stars in the Netflix series Grace and Frankie.
