Ryan took a congressional position as a legislative aide in Senator Kasten's office after graduating in 1992. In his early years in work, he worked as a waiter, as a fitness trainer, and some other jobs too.

Ryan was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1998 when he was 28 where he represented Wisconsin's Congressional District 1. He later started to serve as the chairman of the House Budget Committee in 2011 where he worked until 2015.
During the presidential election of 2012, Ryan was involved in the Mitt Romney's presidential campaign when Mitt announced him as a favorite of fiscal conservatives where he was Romney's Vice Presidential-mate. The Presidential nominee Romney, however, lost the election to the Democratic candidate Barrack Obama.

On October 22, Ryan officially announced he would run for House speaker after he received support from three factions from within the Republican party. He wrote a letter to House Republicans as
I never thought I'd be speaker. But I pledged to you that if I could be a unifying figure, then I'd serve —I would go all in. After talking with so many of you, and hearing your words of encouragement, I believe we are ready to move forward as one, united team. And I am ready and eager to be our speaker.
On October 29, 2015, Ryan was elected as the 54th speaker of the house, with 236 votes.
Paul's married relation with wife Janna
The American speaker of the house Paul got married to his Janna at the age of 30. Ryan, and Janna Little, a tax attorney, they got married in December 2000 after spending some quality time together since their first meet in earlier that year.

Paul and Janna are blessed with three children; Liza Ryan, Charles Ryan, and Sam Ryan. The couple gave birth to their first daughter Liza on 2nd February 2002. They gave birth to their first son Charles in 2003 and their second son Samuel born on 26th November 2004.
