What is actor Edward Burns and wife Christy's secret to successful married life?

Actor Edward Burns and his super model wife Christy Turlington are one of the most happening couple in Hollywood. Unlike all those Hollywood couples whose relationship ended brutally, Ed and Christy have set an example by staying put to their marriage. Amazingly, the couple has been married for more than a decade and they are still going strong.

It is surprising to see this handsome hunk and his sexy partner in a perfectly happy relationship despite splitting after two years of dating. Most people don’t know about this, but the power couple met in 2000 in a party in Hamptons and hooked up but spilt two years later, just months after buying a property together in New York. But the love birds were destined to be together, as the couple re-united and married in 2003. Christy was 25 weeks pregnant then.

Now, after twelve years of their wedding, the couple has two adorable children together, Grace and Finn. For your information, Christy’s sister and Ed’s brother are married to each other and have two sons together.

After numerous ups and downs, the much loved pair has retained their marriage and Burn's super model wife, Christy revealed the secret to their successful married life earlier this year. She said it had to do with the bathroom. Funny, isn’t it?

Talking to the “Editorialist” magazine, she said that the secret to wedded bliss is spending some time apart from your spouse — in the bathroom!

“[Ed] has his own bathroom. It’s the key to a successful marriage."

Independent filmmaker Ed and his wife seemed pretty obsessed with each other. And it’s not surprising to see that the beautiful couple is very much in love with each other. The handsome hunk is very much devoted towards his wife as he is usually seen taking pictures of his lady love on every occasion possible.

The model cum social activist Christy is one smart lady who graduated from NYU in 1999 after studying Comparative Religion and Eastern Philosophy. Today, she is the head of Every Mother Counts, which provides health education, medicine, and emergency care in poor countries.

Ed is no less successful than his wife. He is an award winning director of Indie movies The Brothers McMullen, She's the One and Sidewalks of New York. They are one competitive pair and it isn’t surprising that this wife-obsessed actor’s Instagram is filled with Christy’s photos.

The lucky man, at the age of 47, became part of Calvin Klein’s campaign for the brand’s Eternity fragrance this year. In 2011, when asked how he landed his impossibly gorgeous wife, he answered back saying that his Irish charm landed him in Christy’s life.

Ed is currently busy promoting his movie memoir "Independent Ed: Inside a Career of Big Dreams, Little Movies, and the Twelve Best Days of My Life". This book mostly chronicles the ups and downs of his film making career and it is an inspirational speech to filmmakers wondering how to begin, or how to keep going. Burns spoke to Newsday by phone.

His is also all set to hit the television screens with his new TV series “Public Morals” which will focus on the police department's Public Morals Division and its officers' attempts to deal with vice in the city, while managing their personal lives as Irish Americans.

He is promoting his book and TV show on social media sites mostly Twitter. Looks like, the dashing actor is on a quest to better his image in Hollywood.
