Like a famous proverb like father like son, Ed's son Adam Harding also followed his footsteps as he is also serving as an anchor. Adam began his job during 2008 after completing his graduation from Emerson Colleg. In 2010, Ed told he dreamed of the day when his son would say 'Now back to you, Dad.'

His dream seemed to come true within few years as his son landed in the WMUR-TV, a sister network of the WCVB-TV. However, after working with the network for a few years, he got a transfer to the WGCL-TV, based in Atlanta.

Ed Harding's Career in Journalism

The Newton-born American TV journalist Ed graduated from the Emerson College in Boston in 1975. He pursued his career soon after completing his graduation. However, in the early seventies, he worked as a reporter in Minnesota and Plattsburgh, New York.

He gave his full time to his career after graduation and started working with the WDSU in New Orleans until 1978. Before he landed in Boston, he worked at WISH-TV in Indianapolis and hosted programming on the Indianapolis Colts. Later on, in 1988, he joined the WCVB network as a weekend sports anchor and Candlepin bowling host.
