Warren Gatland put on collision course with French Clubs.

Wales Head coach Warren Gatland is facing problem in his decision just before heading to New Zealand turf.

Wales are all set to leave for New Zealand on 30th May. From their history, it is clear that they cannot afford to take it easy. With their players in French Top 14, Warren might be facing problem deciding their team since French campaign does not finish for next three weeks.

One may argue that International matches should gain more priority than club levels but that is highly unlikely as they share the same passion and devotion as the former. Not to mention, the fans. With their Summer Tour coming up, he must choose wisely. Having said that Warren has already list two of the Top 14 players for their upcoming tour to New Zealand.

Leigh Halfpenny has been left out of the squad as well due to his impeding ligament injury last September. It’s been eight months and it seems that we may get to see him in action as he is on the standby list. But, let’s not get our hopes high. As of now, Warren has lots on his mind choosing the right player for the job.

Warren Gatland said “Ideally, you do not want to be throwing World Rugby regulation nine [which governs the release of players during the international window] at teams. We will see how far the clubs go and we hope the two players selected in the squad link up with us on tour.”
