Vernon Kay- TV show canceled after scandal.

Reportedly ITV’s motor-themed TV show, ‘DRIVE’ that was set out to rival out BBC’s Top Gear has been canceled.

Whether the cause of the shutdown is the show’s poor performance or presenter Vernon Kay’s sexting scandal is still being discussed.

Based on the report on The Sun that revealed the presenter had sent flirty texts to model Rhian Sugden behind wife Tess Daly’s back, a source claimed that the decision was linked to Vernon’s poor reputation.

But Rhian made it clear that she does not have anything to do with any of it, her reply to the alleged scandal between her and presenter Kay on twitter right on the face of the poor performing show proves the point.

It is true that the show was not doing great, it managed to pull in an average of just 1.5 million viewers. Ratings for the prime-time show DRIVE is dwarfed by Top Gear’s average 5.6million.

Not to mention, Drive did even worse than CCTV show Car Crash Britain: Caught on Camera, watched by 2.5 million viewers in the same ITV 9pm Tuesday slot earlier this year.
