Throughout his career, Hutcherson has been able to do both directing and producing. But back in 2002, Hutcherson started his journey to Hollywood through television commercials as Nicky Harper in Pilot episode of House Blend and Becoming Glen. In 2005, Hutcherson made a debut in Hollywood movies. He played Kicking & Screaming, 2005's Little Manhattan and Jon Favreau's Zathura from which he was awarded Young Artist for "Best performance in a Feature Film by a Leading Young Actor".

In 2007, Hutcherson breakthrough the Hollywood Film industry with fantasy drama Bridge to Terabithia, shot in New Zealand. Finally, in 2013, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire came in the box office. And Guess who, Hutcherson was the lead actor as Peeta Mellark. The movie was a huge hit as so the next series of it came in; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014),  Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015). Hutcherson became also an executive producer in 2015 movies like Escobar: Paradise Lost and The Rusted.

His new upcoming movies include In Dubious Battle, The Masterpiece and The Long home; supposed to be released in early 2017.

Hutcherson has dated 11 girls so far. He briefly dated his Journey 2 co-star Vanessa Hudgens. His passion included riding the heavy motorcycle. And we might be seeing more romance from this cute star boy.
