The Gilmore Girls revival is almost ready to wrap filming.

The Gilmore Girls revival is almost ready to wrap filming. Their final day of shooting is set to happen this week, the Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham tweeted, ‘Just 10 days left on GG. I’m so proud of what we’ve done but don’t want it to end so obviously I’ve started stealing things from the set. And a cool emoji’ on 27th of April.

The mother-daughter duo of Lauren and Alexis will be coming with their most anticipated and highly awaited Gilmore Girls Revival on Netflix. The "Gilmore Girls" revival series, tentatively titled "Gilmore Girls: Seasons," will pick up eight years after the show ended and consist of four 90-minute episodes, each taking placing during a calendar season. The scripts are titled "Winter, "Spring", "Summer" and "Fall," a nod to the song "You've Got a Friend" written by Carole King whose song "Where You Lead" was the show's theme song.

Much of the original cast will return except for one, creator of the series,Amy Sherman-Palladino told tvline.com about that person who will never come back, the late Edward Hermann, who played patriarch Richard Gilmore during the show’s original seven-season run.

Ed’s dying [in 2014] was so f—ed up,” “It was unexpected. He didn’t really let anyone know he was sick. He was a very proud dude. So none of us really got to say goodbye to him. It was very hard, especially for Lauren [Graham] and Alexis [Bledel]. He was like their other father.”

“He was part of us, and he’s gone,” she sighs. “You couldn’t just say, ‘Oh, Richard died peacefully in his sleep, and now we’re going to go to the cherry-picking festival.’ It’s painful. I still choke up when I talk about it, because I wasn’t prepared for it.”

A new star is joining the show as a guest, want to know who?

#GilmoreGirls Exclusive:  Mae Whiteman to make a cameo in Netflix Revival. Yes, the parenthood star is going to join the show, which is going to spice up this parenthood drama.
