Siân Lloyd and her husband split up after eight years of married life.

Welsh TV presenter and meteorologist, Sian Lloyd ended her 8 year old marriage with husband Jonathan Ashman after being uninvited Ashman’s stepdaughter’s wedding with Euman Blair that took place on August 2013.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal that Miss Lloyd has admitted being ‘flabbergasted’ at the decision to ban her from the ceremony.

It is unclear exactly why she was not allowed to attend but it is believed it may have had something to do with a TV interview in which Lloyd had said Tony Blair had “blood on his hands” as a result of the Iraq War.

After numerous unsuccessful relationships, Lloyd had finally found love in Jonathan Ashman, Lloyd met Ashman in 2007 and was thrilled when he proposed in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, after a ten-month whirlwind romance.

Jonathan and Sian had a very private wedding ceremony in the Welsh village of Portmeirion in Gwynedd.

Sian Lloyd was born in Maesteg, Wales in 1958. She is UK’s longest serving female weather forecaster having appeared on ITV Weather for 24 years.

Lloyd started her media career as a researcher for the BBC Wales Today nightly news program, having responded to an advert in the media pages of the Guardian later on becoming an announcer for S4C.

Whilst working for Worldwide Television News in London, she was asked to work with the Met Office on documentaries about the weather. She then screen tested for the ITV Weather in 1990 and beat 200 people to the job.

Lloyd also won the Television and Radio Industries Club “TRIC” award for the best TV weather presenter in 2005 and 2007. For a time, she additionally presented ITV News London weather forecasts.

In February 2014 she left ITV to "pursue new opportunities" and now runs her own weather website named “tvweathergirl.com”.

A friend told the paper: “Sian has split from her husband and has returned to her native Wales. Even though they’ve been married for seven years their marriage has hit the rocks.” Since the ex-couple are bound by the court, they are not allowed to spill details about their divorce.

In the past, Sian had dated Duke of Devonshire relative, Mark Cavendish for 14 long years before dating Montgomeryshire parliament member, Lembit Öpik for two years. After breaking up with Lembit is when she met Jonathan and was madly in love with the latter one.

At the time Sian said: “I feel like the luckiest person alive. I know I’ve met the right person – talk about saving the best till last.”

In 2011, Sian along with others were reportedly being paid a generous amount of six figure salary. Her net worth however remains undisclosed.
