Porter played the lead character of a lawyer George Tucker in the medical drama series alongside Rachel Bilson and Kaitlyn Black. The series first aired on The CW in September 2011.

Though the final season of the popular show ended in 2015, Porter shared his thoughts on what happened to George and AnnaBeth Nass, the fictional characters on the show, after the show ended.

At the end of the season 4 finale, the only indication shown was a short clip which seemed to show George and AnnaBeth moving in together in Nashville. Talking about the after-story, Porter said that George and Annabeth are still kicking it together in Music City at Nashville.

“I think they’re making it work,” Porter told Zap2it. “There are way more opportunities for nursing school in Nashville, so I imagine they’re kicking it, going out two nights, three nights a week, seeing some live music. She’s finishing up school and they are living happily ever after.”

Porter added that for both characters in the series before they could truly give themselves to someone else, it was about going on a journey to find themselves.

“Both of them went on serious searches for themselves, to find themselves, throughout the series. George had to figure out what he wanted to be before he could figure out who he wanted to be with and AnnaBeth did the exact same thing.”

The 36-year-old actor concluded saying that a person has to love oneself before loving someone else.

“I think that’s the most important journey that a person has to go on. You have to love yourself before you can love someone else, and they both got to the point where they really loved themselves and now they’re capable of loving another person in a real way. I think AnnaBeth and George are doing that, in Nashville probably.”

Friday Night Lights star has been starring as Tim Armstrong in the action drama series Scorpion since 2016.
