The lawsuit against Harvey on Monday refers to the recent claim that the director succeeded in dissuading Peter Jackson, director, a producer of The Lord of the Rings films after she said no to his sexual offers.

Earlier this year’s Jackson revealed that Harvey pitched his initial plans for both Lord of the Ring and Hobbit to Miramax after he warned star Judd and Mira Sorvino were difficult to work with.

Jackson told to Stuff publication “I recall Miramax telling us they were a nightmare to work with and we should avoid them at all cost. This was probably in 1998.”

He added, at that time he was unaware of what they were talking but today he knew that it was “the Miramax smear campaign in full swing.” Acknowledging the truth now Jackson believes he was fed false information about both talented actresses who he removed from the casting list.

A representative for Harvey told the investigation will pull the curtains of the fact that Mr. Weinstein is neither defamed or have he become an obstacle in Judd career.
