Rose McGowan’s Former Manager Jill Messick Take Her Own Life

On 7 February 2018, Jill Messick, 50 committed Suicide. She was the ex-manager of Rose McGowan who alleges Harvey Weinstein raped him.

 

Messick mother of two children killed herself on Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was reported to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder and facing depression.

Messick’s family said she was distraught with the McGowan’s alleged sexual misconduct. The family continued “she became collateral damage in an already horrific story.”

Actress Ross McGowan claims that Harvey Weinstein raped her at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival in a hotel and Messick failed to support her fight.   

“Missick’s family say McGowan told her about the incident without calling it rape, and that Messick, realizing something inappropriate if not illegal had happened, reported it to her senior bosses months before she went to work under Weinstein at Miramax.”

The family added that “Jill chose not to face and defend herself from the Rose sex allegation against Weinstein for the fear of undermining other women who were coming front to report sexual abuse.”

Weinstein is accused by more than 80 women for sexual misconduct. In case of McGowan Weinstein’s denies the claim and called it consensual sex.
