Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and wife Anna Krastuchka chartered helicopter just to buy brioche while spending summer holidays in Poland

Robert Lewandowski and his wife Anna who were vacationing in Poland reportedly rented a helicopter just to buy brioche from a bakery .

An Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport featured pictures of the husband and wife duo by the chopper. The hot  Bayern Munich and Poland striker and his wife Anna were staying in a small village of Stanclewa in his native Poland when they decided to hire a chopper for their trip to a bakery. The nearest bakery reportedly being 30 kilometers away from the village where they were staying, they opted to take a helicopter to buy the bread instead of taking a cab.

As per the reports, they were enjoying their holiday in the village with only 400 inhabitants, Robert Lewandowski’s wife wanted to have the pastry. So to satisfy her craving for brioche, they hired a chopper and visited the bakery. The paper also said that the rental cost of such a helicopter would be in the ballpark of €5,000—or £3,560.

When the news made headlines, there was a storm of tweets on Twitter and the pictures were even posted on Instagram.

This special journey was worth it for the striker as his lady love was happy to have the taste of Brioche. The cost did not bother Lewandowski because while the trip may sound expensive to us, it was quite affordable for Lewandowski  whose salary is about £100,000 per week at Bayern Munich. Hopefully they bought home enough amount of bread to last them a few days.

Robert Lewandowski is a Polish footballer who plays as a striker for Bayern Munich. He is also currently holding the captainship of the Polish National team. And a cost of a chopper is nothing compared to his yearly earning. This charismatic footballer has already charmed millions of football lovers through his extra ordinary performances in the football field.

Lewandowski is the top scorer in the third and second tiers of Polish football with Znicz Pruszków. He moved to top-flight with Lech Pozna, and was the top scorer in the league as they won the 2009–10 Ekstraklasa. In 2010, he transferred to Borussia Dortmund for a reported €4.5 million, where he helped win two consecutive Bundesliga titles. He moved to Bayern Munich in 2014, where he won the Bundesliga in his first campaign. He is also a top scorer of 2013-14 Bundesliga with 20 goals.

Right now, Manchester United’s manager Louis Van Gaal  has his eye on him. The Manchester United coach who has already transferred Bastian Schweinsteiger to his side now wants to take him in as well. He wants him as a replacement to Robin van Persie, who is on the brink of completing a permanent switch to Fenerbahce. But the huge Lewandowski admirer got a blow when the striker’s agent claimed his client has little interest in a move to Man Utd. His agent has even warned Manchester United that it would take in more than £35million to tempt Bayern Munich into selling the 6 ft. tall  striker. So there’s very little chance of 26 year old Lewandowski moving to the United.

Till then, all his fans can sit back and enjoy brioche.
