Ranger's manager Mark Warburton facing his first team crisis after defeat by Falkirk

There are not many jobs harder than that of a soccer club manager, especially if you are the manager of Scottish team Rangers FC. You get all the best players and all the best resources available in the country and you are expected to win week in and week out .With so much investment, it is understandable that a series of poor results puts the manager of the team under severe pressure. Rangers boss Mark Warburton is experiencing the uglier side of his job as the Ranger’s manager at the moment.

Rangers have continuously underperformed in their latest matches.  They have only won 2 of their 6 matches. There are suggestions that the main reason Rangers are underperforming is because the relationship between the player and the coach is falling out and the team is having a crisis.

Many news agencies have claimed that there is a huge polarity between the coach and the players. The players are skeptic of the manager’s style of the play. They also don’t believe in Warburton’s sporting philosophy. Some rumors have even suggested that many of the first team players have made their appearance in training sessions irregular.

There are suggestions that Mark Warburton is being considered for the vacant position of manager for Fulham FC. This has made his players believe that Warburton doesn’t have a long term plan for Rangers FC. This is believed to have caused the fallout between the coach and the players.

But Warburton has completely denied those claims. In a post-match press conference he said, “I have  told the boys - don't read the papers. Suddenly you are going to be a shocking team in a deep crisis.” He also posted in his Twitter urging the fans not to worry.

“ I am very grateful to have some wise heads in the dressing-room, the likes of Kenny Miller, Lee Wallace and Dean Shiels, who have been there before and done it”, he added pointing that he still has a very good relationship with his players.

Rangers have dropped 10 points from a possible 18 in their last 6 matches. They recently lost 2-1 to mediocre Firkik side. Even though they lead the Scottish championship table, the poor array of results has made the club fans concerned. But Warburton has reassured the fans by pointing to the fact that they will be leading the championship table during Christmas break.

At the age of 53, Warburton is a very accomplished coach. Before he was the main man at Rangers, Warburton had a successful spell as a manager with League 1 side Berntford and championship side Charlton Athletic. He currently has a 3 years contract with Rangers FC which will expire on June of 2018. He is married to Liz Warburton and lives with his wife in Glasgow at the moment.
