Paul McCartney married Heather Mills and Divorced after six years

Marriage does not guarantee you will be together forever; it's only a paper and vows. It takes love, understanding, friendship, respect and faith in your relationship to make it last longer. Paul McCartney's marriage to Heather Mills also did not work out and the couple divorced after six years.

McCartney and Mills first met at an award ceremony in May 1999. He later revealed that he immediately fell for her at the first glance. He then followed her and rang her soon.

Just after two months of knowing each other, the couple started dating since July in the same year. The couple was spotted enjoying holidays in New York and Long Island. They were spending five night a week together and Mills decided to move in together in March 2000.

Sir Paul rejected the decision to move in together and Mr. Justice Bennett agreed that they could only move in upon their marriage in June 2002. Sir Paul claimed that he remained old fashioned and wanted a proper wedding.

The couple dated for around 2 years and got engaged on 23d July 2001. After 10 months of their engagement, the couple tied the knot on 11th June 2002. The couple enjoyed their marital life for almost 6 years exactly 5 years and 9 months.

Just after a year of their wedding, Mills gave birth to their first child, a daughter, Beatrice Milly on 28th October 2003. The couple divorce and ended their relationship on 17th March 2008. McCartney admitted marriage to Mills was his biggest mistake.

Mills shattered her reputation in pieces after the High Court presiding over her divorce from McCartney tore into her character and accusing her of being inconsistency and inaccuracy.

Mills demanded £125 million from her marriage to Paul but she got the fifth part of that figure which is £24.3 million. Mr. Justice Bennett claimed that she had proved to be her own worst enemy by making such a huge settlement claims which were ridiculous.
