Monica Crowley who is an American conservative consultant famous for her political commentary and personality on Fox News is presently the online opinion editor for the Washington Times. Also, the regular columnist of the Washington Times Monica Crowley has established herself as one of the most prominent political and media figures in the United States of America.

Early Life

Monica Crowley was born on September 19, 1968, at Fort Huachuca at an Army base camp which was located on the outskirts of Sierra Vista in Arizona. However, Crowley grew up in New Jersey at the Warren Township. She also has one sibling whose name is Dr. Jocelyn Elise Crowley. Jocelyn is the professor of Public Policy at the Rutgers University and is married to public figure Alan Colmes.

Crowley who is a Christian graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Political Science. Furthermore, she also holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Columbia University.

Professional Career

While she was a student she was hired as a research assistant by the former President Richard Nixon in 1990. Along with that she also was an editorial adviser and consultant in the last two books of Nixon while after his death she published two books about him. Additionally, she also wrote columns for the New York Post, Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, New Yorker and the Baltimore Sun.

Correspondingly during the mid-1990’s Crowley was a commentator for the Morning Edition Show of National Public Radio. However, since 2002 she has been hosting The Monica Crowley Show. The show which has spanned more than a decade is now available on the weekend the only format and also on Itunes as a podcast.

Present Career

Crowley also serves the Fox News Channel since 1996 as foreign affairs and political analyst. Although she left in the channel in 2004 for MSNBC she returned back after three years in 2007. While her tenure in MSNBC she hosted shows like Connected: Coast to Coast along wise Ron Reagan, The Best of Imus in the Morning. When she returned back to Fox News Channel she was a regular contributor on The McLaughlin Group.

Monica is often seen on the late-night show on Fox News Channel- Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld. Side by side to that she appears opposite Alan Colmes on the Tuesday edition of the show- The O’Reilly Factor in a segment named as Barack and a Hard Place. She is also an occasional guest host on the show The Five which is an opinion show on Fox Channel.

In the Netflix original series House of Cards, Crowley portrays herself.

Personal life

Crowley who is unmarried lives in the New York City area and serves as the board member of the Centre for Security Policy. She is allegedly dating Bill Siegel although many times she is hooked with her co-host in the show Alan Colmes. However, Alan Colmes is not her boyfriend but rather her brother in law as he is married to her sister Dr. Jocelyn Elise Crowley.In fact, she is not related to CNN political correspondent Candy Crowley either.

Controversy

During 1999 Crowley was accused of plagiarism because of an article published in the Wall Street Journal. The article which was written about the former president Richard Nixon contained many lines from the article of Commentary magazine written by author Johnson about the same topic. Since then Wall Street Journal never published any work of Monica Crowley.
