Madeline Carroll, the star of the adorable coming of age movie, Flipped.

When Harry Met Sally director Rob Reiner went searching for cast in his 2010 coming of age romantic comedy movie Flipped, he sure was not fooling around. The role of the two protagonists played by Callan McAuliffe and Madeline Carroll really gave a marvelous performance in the movie.

The movie was about two teenage lovers and their journey through school to junior high, their family problems, dramas and different view on love.

For both Callan and Madeline, it was their first American movie audition and they did not disappoint. In her interview, she states how she was really psyched to play her role opposite to Callan and how her friends were all jealous about it. Madeline has also appeared alongside the great actor Jackie Chan in the movies Spies Next Door, take that her friends.

“I wanted to be in a movie. This was my first American audition. I came over to meet my manager, who had just signed me up, and they were just like, “Oh, we found you this script for your first American audition. You might as well give it a try. You probably won’t get it, but it will be fun anyway.”

That was back when she was still 14. Now she has grown up to become an absolute beauty having appeared in other movies including The Magic of Belle Isle (2012) starring Morgan Freeman, Mr. Poppins Penguin (2011) starring alongside Jim Carrey and others. Quite a motivation for her having starred alongside the star icon of the movie industry. Madeline was also cast as the lead role for the series Blink (2013).

She has been nominated for best actress in the movies like Swing Vote (2008) further implying her talent for the job.
