The petition was taken down by the website became it happened to be ‘a focal point for sexist and hateful abuse’. The petition accused political editor of BBC News Laura Kuenssberg of reporting on the ground of bias against the Labour party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn.

According to the executive director of 38 Degrees- David Babbs, the petition attracted abusive and sexist language among some of those who are supporting the petition.

Kuenssberg is called by various bad names on social media. They are not only offensive but also hurtful, you know. She is called a bitch, a whore, cunt, cow and so and so. Some even wrote that they would like to kill her.

Here is the editor's post on twitter

The person who started it released the following statement.

I would like to reassure everyone that I am a passionate advocate for equality in all areas, not just gender equality ... This petition has precisely zero to do with Kuenssberg’s gender. Regardless of the gender you identify with, there is no excuse for biased reporting and misrepresentation of facts when you represent an organisation that has been famed for its impartiality and balanced approach.”

However, the words posted against her is clearly the bullies of sexist origin.
