ITV's Nina Hossain and her walk to becoming an journalist.

42 years old beautiful Nina Hossain is an English journalist and presenter of ITN news. She is the main newscaster on ITV Lunchtime News and lead anchor on ITV News London.

West Yorkshire-born Hossain is the daughter of Bangladeshi father and an English mother. Her father was a psychiatrist with specialism in alcoholism and even was the founder and president of Concern for Mental Health in West Yorkshire and mother an English nurse. Father and mother being in the medical field, Hossain was not influenced by their work.

Her ambitions to be a journalist commenced at an early age. She was keenly interested in doing the things like reporting and news anchoring. In order to boost up herself in the journalism field, she achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at the department of Journalism, Media and Communication, University of Central Lancashire, Preston.

Presenter Hossain is of tall height and is a charming lady. She was previously married to her former husband of eight years Craig O’Hara, editor of Sky News. The ex-couple did not have a baby. After the eventual divorce with him, Hossain has been in a relationship with her recent partner Stuart Thomas, former editor of ITV’s London Tonight regional news program. They are not legally married but have been living together since 2005 and have three children together.

Hossain has still not revealed whether she would marry Thomas legally or not. But the couple is living a better life with their children. They live between London and the Midlands.

Several controversies in Hossain’s life was able to draw the attention of media for few times. In 2005, she drew the attention when she was assaulted on London’s South Bank, and for going to work the same day. And several years ago it has been in the news that she was followed by a stalker from home to work and out with friends for eighteen months.

Bold and beautiful Hossain is active in journalism since 1996 when she was chosen for a traineeship at ITV Border on Lookaround as a news presenter, producer, and reporter. In 2000, she became a presenter for The Medical Channel and in 2001, became a presenter and reporter for BBC London News on BBC London. In March 2004, she finally became the main presenter of the program while Emily Maitlis took maternity leave.

Hossain joined ITN in November 2004 as the main co-presenter for the ITV Evening News on ITV. She replaced Marry Nightingale in her maternity leave.

However on 1 November 2010, she was able to make her own and became the sole presenter. Even she has appeared in a movie named Trauma which starred Colin Firth.

Currently, Hossain is enjoying her journalism field doing satisfying work, gaining enough salary.
