Is Steve Oedekerk working on a new Kung Pow: Enter the first movie?

Steve Oedrekerk might just make a new Kung Pow movie a reality.

The first one, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist took the audiences by storm when it was first released. The comic parody of the Hong Kong action cinema was a sight to behold with all the hilarious fighting scenes and Steve’s remarkable performance. Despite poor reviews by the critics and other rating associations, it was loved by many fans. That fighting scene of Chosen one and the cow was one of the most hilarious part of the movie which makes viewers laugh even now.

In a recent interview, Steve Odekerk has announced that he was making the sequel to this movie. According to him, it will be funnier, and more hilarious than the previous one. Steve, however is not still sure what the plot will consist of but considering that its Steve we are talking about, he will be sure to make it a movie to remember.

Fans are however concerned about the role that Oedekek is going to play. In the first movie, he was the director as well as the actor but now we might all agree that he is in no shape to play in the sequel if it’s anything like the old one. The question still remains. Will he just direct the movie and chose another artist as an actor or will he become like Christian Bale?

Steve is married and has two children. Much of his personal life has not yet been revealed. He does not disclose information regarding his wife, children or himself easily. It had been rumored a while back that Oedekirk was getting divorced but it was later revealed to be a hoax.

Having appeared in various movies, Steve also has various director credits to his name. He is also a recognized producer. Some of his noteworthy movies are Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2001), Nothing to lose (1997), etc. Steve Oedekerk has also appeared in TV shows like Back at the Barnyard voicing various characters.  He has directed various acclaimed movies like 1995 hit comedy movie Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls starring Jim Carrey. He is also a recognized screen writer. Steve debuted his acting career from the 1987 movie Smart Alex.

His work Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius was even nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated feature in 2001 but ultimately lost to Shrek. Getting nominated at Oscar is however a great honor in itself.

 Steve is also known for his association with comedian Jim Carrey. Much like Jim, Steve also have a rather cheerful personality and likes to goof off, have fun, relax and just chill out.

His net worth is estimated to be around $5 million.
