Is Degrassi: The next Generation's Stacey Farber working on any new movies? Does she want to get married and settle down instead?

Canadian actress, Stacey Farber is best known for her role as Eleanor Nash in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Farber had appeared in six seasons of the series Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2002 till 2008. She had portrayed a character of a troubled girl who had problems with depression and cutting. Farber had begun as a recurring character in the second season of the show, but later she was promoted to a regular role in the third season till the end of season seven.

For her intense portrayal as the troubled young girl in the show, Stacey was nominated for a Gemini Award, which is regarded as one of the top acting awards in Canada. She had received a nomination in the category of best performance in a youth program or series.

There had been many false rumors about Stacey in Degrassi history. In one of the episodes, she was assumed to be pregnant because people saw her outfit what looked like a baby bump on Stacey. This led to many speculations and people thought that Jesse, her alleged boyfriend got her pregnant. However, it turned out to be just a rumor.

Again, there were rumors about Stacey dating her co-actor Michael Seater, with whom she starred in the CBC series 18 to Life from 2010 to 2011 and in the Degrassi movie Degrassi Goes Hollywood in 2009.

 

One of the well-known critics, Raju Mudhar wrote in the Toronto Star saying that the lead characters, Michael, and Stacey have “some chemistry and both are compelling, young actors to watch.”

The two used to get along really well with each other. They were often spotted in many events together. There were rumors that Michael might be the boyfriend of Stacey. The two were often described as ‘getting along famously in real life’.

However, in an interview with Interview magazine, Stacey denied all the dating rumors with Michael Seater. When asked about her idea of getting married, she said she is waiting for the right guy to be her husband.  

Along with her acting career, she was also focusing on her studies. She graduated from all girls private school, Branksome Hall in 2005 and completed her first year of university studied at York University in her homeland, Toronto. Later she got transferred to The New School university’s Eugene Lang College in New York. In May 2008, she completed her internship at the Web department of Teen Vogue in New York City and graduated from The New School University in 2009.

After her graduation in creative writing, she again pursued her passion for acting.

She has also been featured in numerous short movies including Bagatelle, Games at Four, King of Sorrow, Orpheus, Rewind, and Made…The Movie.

Currently, Farber serves as the executive editor for the scarf company Lilogi. Along with her interest in journalism, she has been pursuing her acting career. She recently appeared in the television movie, Flashback in 2016.
