Indian Actress Lara Dutta, age 37, more focused on her daughter and husband than her career in movies

 

 

 Lara Dutta seems to be very busy with her family these days. 

"My life now revolves around my daughter. I am a hands on mother. I have a responsibility towards my job and family. When we go out on a holiday, we see to it there is a play zone.Now that Saira is three-year-old, Mahesh and I got time to go on a holiday once in last three years. We both like indulging in spa," she said in an interview earlier this year. She shared that her life revolves around her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, whom she married in 2011 and their daughter,Saira

Bollywood actresses tend to give up acting and pursue a more domestic life after starting a family.In similar fashion, Lara has had to balance both her career and her family ever since she got married. However,she doesn't seem to be completely quitting her acting career. While she decided to invest a little more time on her family,initially, she has since appeared in a few films here and there. 

Lara, who now has a little more flexibility has even made sort of a "comeback" in the silver screen with Akshay Kumar's new movie, ‘Singh is Bling.' She is also working on a couple upcoming projects, including a few movies and working as an advocate for a hotel chain. 

One of the greatest actress of her generation, Dutta had already set foot in the modelling world long before she went into acting. 

 Dutta  won the Gladrags Megamodel contest in 1997, which led her to her Miss Intercontinental win. She was later crowned Miss India and Miss Universe 2000. The same year, Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza won the Miss world and Miss Asia Pacific titles respectively. No one from India has been crowned Miss Universe since Dutta's win. 

Dutta kicked off her acting career by appearing in tv shows in 1995 made her movie debut in 2003 with the movie Andaaz which was a box office hit. She won the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut and the Star Screen award for Best Female Debut for her role in Andaaz. After the success of her first film, she became first choice of most of the directors and producers in Bollywood. 

Dutta has also  earned critical acclaim for her performance in films like Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Billu and David. She has appeared in box office hits like "No Entry" and "Houseful" among others. 

Standing at the height of 5 feet 8 inches, the 37 year old is a catch. She says that yoga is the secret to her sexy body.When asked what the key to a great holiday is, she replied, “I would advise everyone to get a proper sleep of at least seven to eight hours, eat right, work out, do yoga, play well, indulge in spa.”
