The kitchen sink drainage shows problems after some non-bio degradable or slow dissolving or decaying substances stuff into your sink pipe or drainage system.

Here are some tips which may help you out with your kitchen sink drain pipe repair:

  • First, remove your garbage disposer and then disconnect all the old traps of the drain lines from beneath the sink.
  • Use the PVC primer and cement to glue up solid plug over the end of one drain pipe stub out. Then Glue the threaded clean-out plug onto the end of another stub out.
  • Search out the dishwasher connection where’s the side of the garbage disposer. Then use the screwdriver to remove nuts and the knockout plug from the disposer.
  • Now reinstall the garbage disposer to the sink.
  • Then connect the PVC disposer elbow to the garbage disposer and reinstall a new PVC trap and drain pipe to the stub out in the wall.
  • Connect to the disposer elbow to the new trap with a PVC T-fitting. If the fitting pipe is too long then cut out the pipe to its length with a PVC tubing cutter.
  • Attach to the strainer and PVC tailpiece to the drain hole into the sink.
  • Then Hold on to  PVC waste arm and place it so that it spans from the tailpiece to the T-fitting into garbage disposer.
  • Mark out the line how much need to cut on the end of the waste arm at the T-fitting. Also, mark out the cut line of the tailpiece; Then Cut off both of the waste arm and tailpiece with the PVC tubing cutter.
  • Then Install the waste arm of the sink, then tighten the threaded fittings to connect the arm to the tailpiece and to the T-fitting.
  •  Attach the dishwasher's discharge hose to the disposer with two stainless-     steel hose clamps. Tighten the clamps with a screwdriver.
  • Turn on the kitchen faucet and let the water run. Be sure the sink is draining properly, then check below for leaks.
